Location: My studio in North Mesa, AZ (exact address + details sent 2 days prior)
Come spend an evening in the studio creating a one-of-a-kind ceramic platter—perfect for your fall hosting season or as a meaningful gift. You’ll have full access to my tools, materials, and expertise, along with the opportunity to customize your platter with a screen-printed last name, initial, date, or other personalized element.
Whether you choose to paint, print, or combine both techniques, you’ll leave your mark on a functional piece you can use and cherish for years. Think of it as the creative finale to summer—after a season of travel and shared meals, now you get to make the dish that will serve future stories.
Your ticket includes:
- All supplies & materials needed to make your platter, we will be using a cream stoneware with the option to paint or print with a clear glaze or to spend more time on the decorative elements and opt for a white satin glaze.
- Personalized screen print preparation (please send your customization request upon checkout; default will be your last initial)
- Lite bites & drinks to enjoy during the evening
- My glazing & firing of your piece, with pickup or shipping available (shipping costs covered by attendee)
No experience is required—just come ready to create and make a joyful mess. I’ll take good care of you.
A few important notes:
- You’ll receive a confirmation email upon purchase and a follow-up email 2 days before the workshop with all location and arrival details.
- The ceramic process can be a little unpredictable. While I’ll take the utmost care with each platter, occasional warping or cracking can occur in the kiln—part of the beauty (and surprise) of handmade work.
- Finished platters will be ready for pickup on a set date (emailed to you) or mailed for an additional postage fee.
- All workshop sales are final. If you can’t attend, you’re welcome to send someone in your place (please provide their name & email in advance).
- Please let me know if you are attending with someone or in a group so that I can seat you next to each other.
Spots are limited—reserve yours now and make something that delights you every time you use it.
